CW DX-pedition to Nauru : C21SX and C21XF

Roger G3SXW and Nigel G3TXF made 12,524 CW QSOs (no dups) operating as C21SX and C21XF from the island of Nauru (OC-031) for eight nights from 20 Sep to 28 Sep 2005.

The regular breaks in electricity supply of up to eight hours per day (as well as some luggage being delayed by three days) made this operation more challenging than usual. Despite the lack of sun-spots and the poor conditions over 37% of the QSOs made by C21SX - C21XF were with Europe. [Asia 38%, N-Am 22%, Oceania 2% and S-Am 1%]. Log-Search here

| Roger C21SX adjusts the tuning of the HF6V vertical used on 80m-40m-20m-15m-10m. The flat roof of the hotel, close to the sea, is an excellent location for amateur radio antennas. |
