FOC Condin : Bad Kreuznach : 19-21 May 2023

FOC Condin was held in the historic town of Bad Kreuznach. On the Friday evening we ate at the local Salinenbrau brewery restaurant. On Saturday Armin DK9PY organised a gentle walk around some local hills with spectacular views. The FOC Dinner was attended by 28 in the BC Hotel.

On Sunday we visited Armin DK9PY's contest location a few km out in the countryside. Armin's contest location is possibly unique in that not only are there a number of sturdy self-supporting towers with mono-banders, but that the site itself is on top of a now decommissioned nuclear bunker. As well as taking a stroll around the extensive antenna-farm and visiting Armin DK9PY's impressive contesting shack, the FOC visitors were given a guided tour of the bunker.
